56 Ford Convertible Super Stretch
Day 1.
Started out with 2 x 1/87 scale 56 Ford Die-cast trucks, a while back took one of those and chopped the roof and a repaint.... just wanted something a bit different. Taking it a step further now, stretching out the beds by 1 full length at this point. Considering whether or not to add some more to the cab (about 1/3 of the cab). Im going to have dual rear tires as it sits in these 1st pics, should I stretch the cab, I will go with a 3rd set of tires. Ive got to stretch the wheel wells to accommodate the stock look. For the most part this will be an easy customization, what you dont see under the truck will be a bit of a challenge to get correct, I want this to be a roller and not a Static Display (doesn't move). Ive got lots of sanding and filling and fitting on this one. Its a project within my other builds, IE when Im waiting on drying or other situations, I pull this one out and do some work on it. Progress may be a while in between updates but keep checking in. As with all my builds, it will be for sale when finished.

Day 2.
Made some progress today with getting the overall truck built.... yes still a ways to go but at least its a rolling truck again, the fenders were a challenge and still look rough but I do see how it will look when done. Taking it apart to start the bodywork. There is abit to do there with a bunch of small area's that will be difficult to sand. Going to cheat abit and line the bed and running boards. Ive also got a matching cab (uncut) that will be painted the same that you can easily swap out for a different look. Basically you're getting 2 trucks here
Day 3 Doing body work, switched out the convertible cab for uncut... doing something different with it.
Doing some more bodywork, now in final primer before paint... just need to decide on color (s)
